Peer Support

Survivor-led peer support groups offer a confidential place to connect and share.

Survivor-led peer support groups foster connection, forge healing bonds and healthy relationships, and offer a place to learn and grow alongside other survivors. Conversations involve navigating emotional trauma & other challenges that come from exploitation and human trafficking. Topics include:

  • Relational, emotional & physical boundaries

  • 12 Steps and relapse prevention

  • Coping with PTSD

  • Creating an action plan for your life

  • Maintaining sobriety & overcoming addiction

All Are Welcome

All survivors are welcome, regardless of race, ethnicity, religious background, or sexual orientation, at any stage of their healing journey.

In-Person, Weekly

Groups meet in-person and are available throughout the week. Some groups share a meal, and participants may also peruse the “boutique.”

For The Long-Haul

Healing is a life-long journey and our peer support groups nurture friendship, care, and community for the long haul.

Peer Support Inquiry

Are you interested in assistance in getting out and staying out of “the life” of trafficking and/or exploitation? If you are ready to make and meet goals of sobriety, self-sufficiency, education, and positive employment, please fill out the inquiry application and an AJP representative will follow-up with you within 24-48 hours.

We ACCEPT all people who have survived trafficking and exploitation regardless of race, ethnicity, religious background, or sexual orientation to our Resource Center and Peer Support Group.

Reinforce Our Peer Support

It’s the solidarity of community that bolsters survivors toward a thriving life. Your generosity enables us to continue facilitating peer support groups.
